Support Marilyn Watson
Dear friends, On Saturday June 19 Muscular Dystrophy Canada is holding its annual Walk. This year, again, it will be a virtual Walk. Muscular Dystrophy Canada provides expensive medical equipment and other support for people with neuromuscular disorders (there are over 150 types). They also fund research in an attempt to find a cure. The pandemic has, of course, affected MDC, as well as everyone else. I am involved in the Walk as we received so much help from Muscular Dystrophy for our son Greg, who received equipment, and support. We also made wonderful friends, both others with muscular dystrophy. and the MDC staff. Now for the commercial! I am looking for sponsors for my Walk - any amount would be appreciated. If you feel you would like to sponsor me that would be great. Thanks! Marilyn Watson For more infomation visit: https://muscle.akaraisin.com/ui/walk4md2021/p/7074837b4d3c4b2a9594d5c42bc6f5b7

Synod on Saturday
In normal times, the bi-annual Synod of the Diocese of New Westminster meets in person over two days. It is attended by delegates chosen by all the parishes and all licenced clergy. This year, due to the pandemic, the meeting will be held on-line and will also be much shorter, beginning at 8:30 am and concluding at 1:30 pm. The St Agnes Synod delegates are: Judy Brear, Ken Lindsay, The Revd Lizz Lindsay and the Ven Stephen Muir. There are several resolutions on the agenda, including two addressing homelessless and the climate emergency. Click the link below for more information. Please pray for Bishop John, who will preside at his first synod, and all the delegates as they make decisions that will determine diocesan priorities for the next few years.
