Christmas Gift BasketsDonations wanted Judy Brear is once again putting together gift baskets to sell at our annual Christmas Fayre on November 20. She writes: This year the basket table will be different yet again and we do not know for sure how it will all pan out. We discussed a wine basket like we did for the raffle last year. It had certificates for wine in it which were gratefully donated last year. We would love that again. Anything else you think would be wine related would be wonderful like coasters, wine glasses, wine sayings, recipes with wine, bottle opener. I have a cheese board to put in it so anything cheese that does not go bad is welcome. I hope we can get contributions for it. Also look around for: * Baskets or attractive containers to be used as holders. * Spa type things like lotions, eye masks, shower gels, foot lotions, nail polish, and lip gloss, sponge balls (?) and things that might be in a pamper me type basket. * Wrapped candies and candle holders * Individually wrapped tea bags * Hot chocolate and coffee individually wrapped packets. * Chocolate in any form. * Liners for baskets in the form of Tea towels or dish cloths ,scarves, etc * New books, recipe books, children's or best sellers work well. * Cups and mugs for mini basket gifts for teachers etc. * Treasures you have that might make a basket attractive. * Christmas ornaments *Cooking items, utensils, Tea Towels etc. cook books * Things for an Ecology themed basket * Anything that you may have received as a gift that you are not able to use but might be something someone would like. I will know more as I start the process. I am happy to pick up your items if you can leave them out for me somewhere, or you can drop them off at the church during office hours (call Laura at 604 987-0432 to check). If you have an idea about a theme for a basket give us one item and we will see how we can make a basket around it. We are at 3049 Chaucer Ave, North Vancouver, BC V7K 2C1 if you feel inclined to drop anything off on our front porch. Thanks so so much. Phone number is 604 980 3177 or email jlbrear@gmail.com Thank you so so much! It takes us all to do these. Judy |
