We also need people willing to sell raffle tickets to support the Lions Gate Hosptial Foundation. Books will be available on Sunday or in the office Tuesday - Thursday.

 The North Vancouver-Vancouver based Lions Gate Brass was formed at our first sight-reading rehearsal on December 30th, 2019 at Sutherland Church in North Vancouver. The quintet then settled into its home rehearsal space in the sanctuary of Saint Paul’s Anglican Church in Downtown Vancouver’s West Side. Since July 2021 the Brass has made its home in Saint Agnes Anglican Church, North Vancouver. The group’s name—Lions Gate Brass—came about because members would have to traverse the Lions Gate Bridge to rehearse in either North Vancouver or Vancouver’s West End. 

 Lions Gate Brass features:

Gary Galpin: trumpets and flugelhorn; Keith Woodward:  trumpets and corno da caccia; James Roberts: horn; Tom Koven: trombone and tenor tuba; Ned Hale: bass tuba 

This first concert at St Agnes Church will feature a selection of seasonal music. Admission will be by donation. Mask and vaccine passport will be required.

Carmen is a responsible, mature individual available to assist local seniors with errands, shopping, sewing & alterations, and light housekeeping.

She also provides professional house cleaning at $30/hr. Washing and pressing clothes for $40/hr.

Carmen has done some cleaning for St Agnes church and does an excellent job. More references are available on request.
