Mission to Seafarers
Caring for Seafarers and their families is what the Mission does. The seafarers arrive in Vancouver from all over the world. It is not unusual for them to be away from home for months at a time in the usual course of their contract, but during the pandemic the time of their return home has become alarmingly indefinite. For seafarers it means the loneliness, isolation, and the fatigue of the job have been made much worse. The work seafarers do touches us all as much of what we have is brought by sea. With this in mind we make an extra effort at Christmas to give back to seafarers and show our gratitude. We deliver to seafarers some 1500 gift bags containing: toques, socks, chocolate, devotionals, a souvenir and toiletries. This is only made possible through the generosity of donors. Please consider supporting our ”Christmas at Sea Appeal” for Seafarers www.flyingangel.ca - click the link below. If you have any questions, do please give us a call at 604 253 4421
