Sunday Services at 8 & 10:15

Sunday, May 22, 2022

At both services we celebrate the Eucharist by sharing both the bread and the wine. As with all our Sunday liturgies, it is your choice as to how you want to participate; "all may, none must."

For sanitary reasons, Bishop John has asked that we not practice "intinction" - dipping the bread in the wine.

Covid-safe common sense rules still apply - if you are not feeling well, please stay at home and participate on Zoom at 10:15. Mask wearing in church is optional but encouraged, and vaccination passports are no longer required. If you have not been vaccinated, please consider making use of Zoom.

Please join us for coffee time in the hall following the 10:15 service.

Marilyn's walk for MD

Marilyn's walk for MD

June 11, 2022

Dear friends,

On Saturday June 11 Muscular Dystrophy Canada is holding its annual Walk.  This year, again, it will be a virtual Walk.  Muscular Dystrophy Canada provides expensive medical equipment and other support for people with neuromuscular disorders (there are over 150 types).  They also fund research in an attempt to find a cure.   I am involved in the Walk, as we received so much help from Muscular Dystrophy for our son Greg, who received equipment, and support.  We also made wonderful friends, both others with muscular dystrophy. and the MDC staff.

Now for the commercial!  I am looking for sponsors for my Walk - any amount would be appreciated.  If you feel you would like to sponsor me that would be great.  I have joined a team this year. Vicky and I worked together as co-chairs for our MDC Chapter, and Vicky has started up a team to receive donations for MDC.  Vicky also has Muscular Dystrophy, though a different type of M.D. to Greg.   Our team’s name is “The Mighty Muscles”.

A secure online donation can be made by visiting walk4md.ca.  Under “The Walk for Muscular Dystrophy” click “Register now”.  Click on red “Donate” at the top, and then click on “Team”.   Put in “The Mighty Muscles” and then click on the Green Donate at the bottom, (not the red button at the top) and proceed to payment.

Alternatively, you could mail a cheque payable to Muscular Dystrophy Canada, to me at 709-175 West 14th St., North Vancouver BC V7M 0E6.   If you wish a receipt, please be sure to include your full address.  Receipts are automatically given for donations of $20 or more, or as requested.  For On Line donations receipts will be sent via email shortly after the donation is processed.

Thanks ever so much!

Marilyn Watson
