Someone is impersonating me by sending emails that appear to be from me with a note asking for a favour - a request that you buy gift cards for me.
This is not something I would do! I do not send emails requesting money or gift cards.
I am aware that several of my clergy colleagues have had a similar experience of someone impersonating them.
If you receive a suspect email that appears to be from me, please check the email address before responding. My work email is priest@saintagnes.ca. My personal email is sdmuir100@gmail.com.
If you have any doubt, just delete the suspicious email.
