Make an Advent WreathSunday, November 27 You are invited to create an Advent wreath to take home to celebrate the season. The event will occur on Sunday November 24 after the 10:15 service. Barb and Ian will provide the terra cotta bases with spots for the five candles as well as the candles, greens and decorations. Anyone who would like to assemble one is welcome to sign up on the sheet outside the office on or before November 17 in order that all necessary supplies can be obtained. You are welcome to bring additional greens and ornaments. Beginning with the first Sunday of Advent, the lighting of a candle on the wreath can be accompanied by a Bible reading, devotional time and prayers. Another candle is lit on each subsequent Sunday with the final, centre, white candle being lit on Christmas Eve. We hope this is special for you to celebrate this season of joy and hope. |
