This year's pick-up pageant was presented by the Sunday school following the 10:15 service on December 8. The production was produced and directed by Giselle Clarke-Trenaman to great acclaim. Erica and Émile played against type by reversing the genders of Mary and Joseph. Kathleen was the Angel of the Lord, and Brianna was a sheep. Brianna's dad Brad was a helpful shepherd. Church Wardens Jean and Nina also had supporting roles.  

Local thespians Seniors Acting Up entertained our December 6 lunch crowd with songs and skits, including Phyllis Diller jokes in purple and white fright wigs.

Don Carrothers died early Thursday morning at the Hospice in North Vancouver. He celebrated his 102nd birthday in November. Don was a long-time member of St Agnes and usually attended the 8 am service. During the last few years he was home bound and unable to come to church. His son Mike made it possible for Don to live at home until the last two weeks of his life.

A memorial service will be held at St Agnes but the date has not yet been chosen. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

Celebrate the Nativity on Christmas Day. Every year the North Vancouver Lutheran and Anglican churches hold a combined service on Christmas Day. This year, our host church is St Clement's at 3400 Institute Rd. All are welcome to attend this festive service.

Join us for a simple service of seasonal Bible readings and your favorite Christmas hymns and carols. Holy Communion will also be featured. Please note: there will be no 8 am service this Sunday.

care ╬ share is our diocesan program to support ministries above and beyond that done by our own parish. The ministries chosen to be care ╬ share recipients each receive funding for a two- year period and then new ministries are chosen. These ministries don’t receive set “funding” - instead they receive voluntary contributions made by people like you.

The 2020-21 recipient for care ╬ share is Urban Aboriginal Ministry (UAM). You are encouraged to prayerfully consider if you can pledge a gift (over and above what you give to the parish) to care ╬ share. If you normally give by PAD you can designate an additional amount for care ╬ share to be added to your monthly donation. Or you can add the amount to your envelope giving and the parish will pass the amount along to the diocese for distribution to UAM. You may give a one-time gift by credit card through the diocesan website.
