St Agnes Day FestivitiesJanuary 26, 2020 The St Agnes Day luncheon on January 26 was a festive affair catered by Sharing Abundance. Four kinds of breakfast sandwiches were on order, and the Scouts served the tables. Special awards of thanks were given to some special people in our community. For more infomation visit:

Trivia Night: Team Remnants win!January 24, 2020 Our annual Trivia Night was held on January 24th. It featured fun table games, a great potluck, and friendly competition to claim prizes and bragging rights. Arlene Haaland was our quiz master, and did a great job of guiding the teams through some very challenging quizzes devised by her mom, Nora Haaland. There was a tie between team Remnants and team Electro House which was broken by a lightening round of random trivia questions. The Remnants won when they were the first to define "entomology" (the study of insects). For more infomation visit:

Swing Dance at St AgnesMoondance video The first Swing Dance and Jam of the year was a great success. Many dancers and others turned out to enjoy an evening of dance instruction at 6:30 followed by dancing to live music provided by Original Blend. The next Swing Dance and Jam will take place on February 28 with a guest band. Original Blend ended their set on January 31st with this rendition of Van Morrison's Moon Dance. Demystifying Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD)Saturday, February 8, 2020 The third and final session on Medical Assistance in Dying is this Saturday, February 8, from 9 am to noon. The topic is Spiritual and Pastoral Care led by the Reverends Sharon Smith and Sharon Salomons. Special guest is Lions Gate Hospital Chaplain Andres Rebanes. The first two sessions were very well attended with over 50 people from several churches on the North Shore. There is no registration required, but come early to ensure a good seat.

Annual Vestry MeetingSunday, February 23, 2020 Our annual business meeting where we celebrate our mission and ministry, receive financial information, and elect leaders. All members of St Agnes are encouraged to attend. If you are unsure if you are a "member," please speak with Father Stephen. If you are submitting a report, please send it to the office via email or by hand by noon on Monday, February 10. The Vestry package, including the reports and financial statements, will be available to pick up on Sunday, February 16.
