Guest PreacherAdele Finney, author of "Living in the Edge." This Sunday will feature Adele Finney as our guest preacher at both the 8 am and 10:15 am services. Adele is a gifted writer who is also the former Executive Director of the Primate's World Relief and Development Fund. In addition to preaching, she will join us for the between services Bible study at 9 am when we will be using Adele's Advent study guide, "Living in the Edge." All are welcome to join us. Christmas Eve ServiceDecember 24 at 7 pm This is a family friendly celebration of the birth of Jesus, featuring your favorite carols and hymns, candles and communion. The above photograph was taken by Archdeacon Muir. It shows the Grotto of the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. This is believed to be the actual site where Jesus was born. Rather than a barn, this is in a secluded cave-like area which would have provided shelter and privacy. The stone of the cave is covered with adornments. You can place your hand in the circular opening in the marble and touch the stone. This structure is about eighteen inches high and three feet wide. Christmas Day service10:30 am at St Martin's The Anglican and Lutheran churches in North Vancouver invite all to celebrate Christmas Day with a regional service of Holy Communion at St Martin's Anglican Church, 195 East Windsor Road, North Vancouver at 10:30 am. All are welcome.
