Marylin was a well-loved member of the St Agnes church community. She came to us after Mount Olivet Lutheran Church closed, where she also had many friends.

She died on December 2 at home surrounded by her loving family.

All members of Vestry are encouraged to attend our annual Vestry meeting. This is our formal business meeting when we give an account of our ministry during the past year, approve our budget for 2025, and elect new officers.

If you attend Sunday services (in person, on live or recorded Zoom), make a financial contribution, or help out at various events or activities, then you are a member of Vestry.

If you are interested in becoming a member of Parish Council, which is elected at Vestry, we would love to have you!

Remembering our past

This will be Laudate Singers' final solo concert!  While there is a joint concert with Paragon Singers later in the spring, A Farewell Note celebrates Laudate Singers' 30 year history and some of the fantastic and varied music we have sung. 

The program includes six previous commissions and we are thrilled that most of the composers will attend!  Most of these composers were in residence and also singers with Laudate. 

Optician Haseena Mecklai was our guest speaker at the February 7 Seniors' Moment Lunch. She spoke knowledgeably about eye health issues for seniors.

She also brought along some free eyeglass cleaner and brochures. Her new store is on Lonsdale across from London Drugs.

The next Seniors' Moment Lunch is on February 21, with guest speaker Ken Gregson who will speak about the Scouting Movement in Canada.

Join us as we begin the season of Lent with the Ash Wednesday service. The liturgy includes the imposition of ashes and the celebration of the Eucharist and will take about 45 minutes.

It will also be available on Zoom, below.

All are welcome to attend as we begin a "holy Lent.'

Fr Stephen will be joined by Fr Michael Batten for a weekly Wednesday morning Lenten series beginning March 12. Fr Michael's presentations on deepening our faith will alternate with different ways to practice the Stations of the Cross.

We will meet in the church, and the program will also be available on Zoom. Please send a request to priest@saintagnes.ca to get the Zoom link.
