The Diocese of New Westminster is excited to be hosting Mission Conference 2026 on Saturday, May 30. The theme this year is “Moving in Mission, Guided by Spirit.” Archbishop Michael Curry, former presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church, will be keynote speaker. 

The conference will also feature breakout sessions with presenters: Ray Aldred, Mark Glanville, Ross Lockhart, Jessica Schaap, Rikki Kooy, and Lauren Pinkney. 

There is a weekend of events planned around the conference itself. Join us on Friday, May 29 at 7:30pm for “Sing Without Ceasing,” a Choir Festival featuring liturgical choirs from around the diocese. The conference takes place May 30 at the Synod Office (1410 Nanton Ave). We conclude the weekend with a Eucharist service at Christ Church Cathedral on Sunday, May 31 at 10:30am. 

Registration is still open. Fr Stephen can take four passengers on Saturday so let him know if you'd like to join him.

Friday, May 29 at 6 PM: Refugee Benefit Concert in the parish hall, featuring local Celtic music ensemble A Casual Arrangement and a food truck! More details to follow.
